Terms of Use
These terms describe what you can expect from ReaLife and what we expect from you. Meeting people in person carries real responsibility, so please read them.
Placeholder notice. This page carries draft copy written for the pre launch website. The effective date, company details and contact address must be reviewed and finalised with legal counsel before ReaLife launches publicly.
Effective date: to be confirmed at public launch. Draft prepared for the pre launch website.
1. Using ReaLife
ReaLife lets you create and join Sparks: short notice invitations to meet at a real place, now or shortly afterward. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information about yourself. One person, one account.
2. Cost
Creating and joining Sparks is free. If we introduce optional paid features in the future, they will be clearly marked and will never be required to meet people.
3. Your content and your Sparks
You are responsible for what you post: the activity, the place, the timing and the way you describe it. You keep ownership of your content and grant us the limited permission needed to display it inside the app according to the visibility setting you selected.
4. Community rules
- Show up as yourself. No impersonation, no misleading photos, no fake age.
- No harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual pressure or unwanted contact.
- No commercial promotion, recruitment or spam disguised as a Spark.
- No illegal activity, and no Sparks that put other people at risk.
- Respect the visibility and messaging choices of others, including declined message requests.
- Do not share someone else's location, photos or messages outside the app.
5. Verification
Verification is our primary trust signal and is optional. Verification helps confirm that an account belongs to a real person, but it is not a background check and it is not a guarantee about anyone's behaviour. Attempting to verify with someone else's documents will result in removal.
6. Meeting in person
Sparks happen in the real world, and we are not present when they do. You decide which Sparks to join, where to meet and how long to stay. Meet in public places, tell someone where you are going and leave whenever you want to. ReaLife does not screen members beyond verification and does not supervise meetups.
7. Suspension and removal
We may limit, suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, put others at risk or abuse reporting and messaging features. Serious cases are removed immediately and without warning.
8. Availability
ReaLife launches city by city, and features may change as we learn. We may modify or discontinue parts of the service, and we will give notice of material changes where we reasonably can.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ReaLife is provided as is and we are not liable for the conduct of other members or for what happens at a Spark. The final liability, governing law and dispute resolution provisions will be confirmed with legal counsel before launch.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page. The final legal contact address will be published here before launch.
